There is a wildlife reserve at Hortons Plains. It is famous for its breathtaking views of grasslands, woodlands, and undulating hills.It is the loftiest plain on the island and covers about 10,000 hectares. It hosts 24 species of mammals, like porcupines, leopards, wild boar, hares, giant squirrels, and elk.
